Activities

Guest Speakers
We have had quest speakers talk about hedgehogs, bats and water voles.

Litterpick Days
One of the major concerns is fly-tipping and we have had litter pick days, especially unblocking the stream. (photos)

Seed Collection and Planting
Together with children from local schools we have collected wild flower seeds for re-planting elsewhere in the woods. (photos)

Himalayan Balsam and Bracken
These invaders are choking the woods and we have been pulling these to allow other plants to regain a foothold. (photos)

Woodland Wonders
We organise twice yearly 'Woodland Wonders Days' to bring the woodlands closer to the local community. (photos)

Willow Dome
Under the guidance of Ruth Thompson of 'Sylvan Skills' we constructed a willow dome for our local school. (photos)

Bat Watch
Using a hetrodyne bat detecter we established the presence of 45khz bats in the woods. (more here ..)
