Welcome to South Stanley Woods Group. Our aims and objectives are:-
AIMS:- To maintain and regenerate this ancient woodland;
- To protect, maintain and enhance its wildlife, habitats and biodiversity;
- To encourage appropriate community participation, enjoyment and education.
- Provide a sensitive long-term management plan to optimise woodland regeneration and sustainability;
- Recognition of woods as a nature reserve;
- Maintenance and improvement of existing wildlife habitats and, where appropriate, develop new ones;
- Co-operate with other agencies to remove sources of damage to the woods;
- Review access to the site and provision of pathways that meet the needs of people flora and fauna;
- Provide opportunities for increasing information and education to the community and to foster better understanding and respect for the woodland;
- Encourage opportunities for local schools' involvement and use of woods for educational purposes.
