Welcome to South Stanley Woods Group. Our aims and objectives are:-

AIMS:
  • To maintain and regenerate this ancient woodland;
  • To protect, maintain and enhance its wildlife, habitats and biodiversity;
  • To encourage appropriate community participation, enjoyment and education.
OBJECTIVES:
  • Provide a sensitive long-term management plan to optimise woodland regeneration and sustainability;
  • Recognition of woods as a nature reserve;
  • Maintenance and improvement of existing wildlife habitats and, where appropriate, develop new ones;
  • Co-operate with other agencies to remove sources of damage to the woods;
  • Review access to the site and provision of pathways that meet the needs of people flora and fauna;
  • Provide opportunities for increasing information and education to the community and to foster better understanding and respect for the woodland;
  • Encourage opportunities for local schools' involvement and use of woods for educational purposes.
