DERWENTSIDE - We have had support and a representative attend our meetings since the Group started. In the last two years the Wildlife Officer, Karen Fisher has represented the District Council at our meetings and in working in the woodland.

GROUNDWORK - Groundwork West Durham have also worked with the Group since we started and have helped with advice, funding applications etc, as well as working in the woods on various projects. We also work together with the local schools and to produce our 'Woodland Wonders Days'.

COUNTY- Although we have not, in the past, worked closely with Durham County Council, we have asked for a representative to come to our meetings in the future. This would enable us to keep abreast with what else is happening in the area environmentally, to keep County Council informed about our plans and get advice from them on problems that may arise.
